The new Kondor boom on Berthoud’s Tenor sprayer folds three times to shorten the length of the stowed boom and reduce the total height of the machine.

Another new boom innovation at Berthoud is the Kondor three-arm unit that is available on the Tenor 4,300- and 5,500-litre trailed sprayers and the Raptor 4,200-litre self-propelled sprayer.

This new steel boom is compact when folded, but has a very wide spread when deployed, being available in working widths of 32, 33, 36 and 38m.

Folding the boom three times means that the overall length of the sprayer is shorter, while the height is also reduced as the boom does not stick up so high.

The Kondor features Berthoud’s Pendulo-Axiale suspension combining the advantages of the Axiale suspension (excellent handling on bends and sloping ground) with those of the Pendulo suspension (optimum stability on rutted ground). The switchover from Axiale to Pendulo modes is controlled from the cab using a hydraulic lock.
